2/17/16 Test Day Part 1:

We went over the components of the speaking rubric to be used in class. Each student received a copy for their personal reference. We began the first part of the test (Listening, Reading, Writing) and discussed the requirements for the Speaking to be done throughout the next 4-5 school days.

Part two of the test is tomorrow:

  1. Know the conjugations of the Preterit and Imperfect to be able to write out sentences about childhood activities and conjugate verbs in context of a paragraph
  2. Know the vocabulary list to fill in blanks. PRACTICE RECOMMENDATION-write definitions in Spanish using other vocab words or past vocab words from past classes.

2/7/17 Imperfect packet

In class we began working on the second half of the vocabulary and on a imperfect tense practice packet. Time was also devoted on the project (see google classroom) due on Friday.

Homework: Do the guided practice side of your workbooks pages 41-44 and write your own notes for how to conjugate in the imperfect tense. Print out and bring your sports related article.

2/3/17 Listening and Camping

Students worked on listening activities and wrote a short story regarding camping based on the listening activities. Instructions for a project due on Friday were also given and are found in google classroom.

Homework: Core Practice pages of the workbook, 1-1, 1-2, 1-3.

2/1/17 Classwork and Discussion

Students were divided into two teams for completing classwork and engaging in article discussion practice. Students worked on activities 14, 15, and 16 of pages 30-31 of textbooks.

The activities must be completed for Homework.
Student should look for a Spanish article related to athletic events/sports for next week.
Students must bring money for workbooks (if purchasing them). $17, checks are accepted and should be made to MHS.

1/30/2017

Students started to practice the new vocabulary list (pages 58-59 of textbooks). An interpersonal written activity was also done in class where students wrote a message to each other.

For Homework: Students must have the vocabulary list copied by hand into their notebooks/notes. Students must also finish the response to their partner's advice. Responses must be at least 4 sentences long. Responses must include acknowledging the advice they received and state what they plan to do with said advice.

1/27/16 Syllabus


The class presented their oral presentations today after engaging in a communicative activity. Students will be working on a written presentation. The directions are on page 15 of the textbook. Students should use the google classroom assignment to familiarize themselves with editing and formatting weebly. The name to their URL should include "PE" followed by the last name. "PElastname"
